The populist right in Australia keep losing elections because they are too right wing and keep screaming at themselves they lost because they are too left wing. The whole country is scratching their heads to this phenomenal anomaly, but there is a very good reason the populist right wont change and wont acknowledge they need to - they literally can't.

Given the Western world's media and politicians are asleep at the wheel here, as our empire falls, an episode as each shoe drops. After China upended decades of sacrosanct Middle Eastern affairs by brokering peace between the mortal enemies of Iran and Saudi Arabia, now the next shoe. Brazil and China agreeing to ditch the US dollar in trade between the two countries. This is huge, as the hegemony of the US dollar being the world's base currency, likely led to the wars in Iraq and Libya and is a huge driver of American foreign policy. The war in Ukraine has ironically, by the insanely punitive nature of Western sanctions and asset taking, shown the rest of the world (most of it) that your money isn't safe in $USD and if you step out of line, the West will take it. It could end up the most expensive war the US has ever fought.

Whilst America screams to whole world about the sanctity of Ukranian sovereignty and freedom from foreign military war - they wage military war from American military bases in Syria. This hypocrisy is clear to the whole non-Western world and confirms to type. Why is the American military in Syria? Were they invited? No, are they at war? No, did they go their to overthrow the Syrian government? Yes. None of this is ANY different to what Russia is accused of in Ukraine.

Feminism, Trans Rights and Posey Parker

One voice was noticeably absent from the anti-trans activist and grifter, Posey Parker's whirlwind trip to Australia, feminists. Actual cis woman feminists talking from a feminist perspective and recently, they nearly always are last to be heard from on their own issue. And feminism is their issue, it belongs to cis women before anyone else, just like trans issues, politics, stories, identity and self definition belongs to trans people first, so does feminism to cis-women. We are in a dangerous position of not hearing from the world's largest oppressed and marginalized group, letting bad faith actors speak for them and making the debate so violently toxic, we shove people in the room with actual Nazis who have no business being there.

The UK Labour party have proved that they're poisoned beyond cure, a Neo-liberal version of Labour ethics and economics that prevents them ever offering real change. There is still enormous love and support for a genuinely good man that the UK was robbed of, by a unified establishment onslaught, leaving unfinished business. There's nothing you can do inside the current Labour part, so start Labour anew.

Ukraine: China’s Peace Deal

I posted "Where is China" on Ukraine a while back, it seems they may have been there all along. After brokering a situation the USA seemed far more comfortable with being war like between Saudi Arabia and Ukraine, they are back with another non-militaristic peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.
